City Parks, Trails and City Treks
To see more photos of all the City Parks I've hiked and City Treks I've done go to my photo site at www.LCPhoto.SmugMug.com.
In doing the research for this section I was surprised to find that there are actually quite a few trails within the actual city areas of San Jose. With the exception of a few areas I'm sure you can find one close to where you live (click the map at left to enlarge or go to the links below to download your own map). Of course any quick glance at a map will show how many Parks, both large and small, there are in the city.
The legend on the map explains pretty self-explanatory with the exception of the "Identified Trails" category. As near as I have been able to determine these are trails that may or may not exist and may or may not be developed in the future. There is one near my house and, though a trail does exist, it is fenced off with no trespassing signs on it so make of that what you will as far as hiking there.
