Description and MapThis City Park is located in the Blossom Hill/Almaden area. The lake itself is a popular site and has all the amenities that you would expect from a city park, BBQ pits, restrooms, playground, picnic tables etc. In addition there are Bocci, Basketball and Volleyball courts, pedal boats for rent, and a small amphitheater overlooking the lake.
The lake is home to Ducks, Geese, Seagulls and even an Egret or two (the Egrets hang out more toward the area around where the Los Alamitos Creek enters the lake on the south end). There is also a variety of plant life with dense stands of cattails lining the northeast shore of the lake. The park also serves as a hub and access point for three trails, the Los Alamitos Creek Trail, the Guadalupe River Trail and the Guadalupe Creek Trail. Each trail heads in a different direction away from the park but all parallel their namesake creeks. Links
